Chicago and Guinness have had a relationship that exceeds most beer brands. When the city was being built, many blue collar workers refreshed with Guinness. However, Guinness has never had it’s own brewery in Chicago.

After Covid, delays to Guinness’s first announcement that Chicago was the next home for their Open Gate Brewery, many people have been asking when the brewery would finally open. We decided to answer those questions in the largest writing possible.
